Pleizenhausen is a small village in the Hunsrück area of the German state of Rheinland-Pfalz.  It is about 5 kilometers from the larger town of Simmern.  Today the population is about 250.   They have a nice web site (Pleizenhausen On-line) with additional information (in German) and pictures.  This community celebrated its 900-year-old existence in 1998 with a large festival.
